The House of York
In The House of York was Richard Duke of York, Cecily Neville and their children. They were members of a royal family.
A mid-fifteenth century, England was ruled by a member of the House Lancaster, Henry VI, had a gentle and measured personality but lacked resilience and stamina to take a country forward. In 1453, King Henry VI has a mental illness and then his cousin, Richard of York became protector of the kingdom but he began to assert their rights to be king of England because he said it was the direct descendant King Henry King Edward III. This claim brought conflict that led to war between supporters of the House of York against those who defended the King Henry, members of the House of Lancaster.
The Civil War was called War of the Roses because the Lancastrians had in his coat a red rose and the supporters of the House of York a white rose. There were battles between the two parties for several years and unfortunately the Duke Richard of York was killed at the Battle of Wakefield. The eldest son surviving Edward, Earl of March, collects his father's fallen banner and try to take the place of his father, aided by his cousin Richard Neville, a wily and charismatic Earl of Warwick.
In 1461, supporters of the House of York, commanded by Edward Young, managed to move to King Henry VI and his supporters.Finally. the young Edward became the first king of the House of York and becomes known as Edward IV. He was considered an efficient although King had flaws as any human being. The House of York, produced three kings of England, Edward IV left the crown to his young son, Edward V, the largest of the Princes in the Tower and was apparently usurped the throne, according to several historians, by his uncle, who became in Richard III. I believe that Richard III was not the murderer of his nephew, but respectful of his disappearance. In the battle of Bosworth in 1485, Richard III, the last of the Plantagenet kings, was killed in battle and the throne passed to the House of Tudor, as a conciliatory gesture, Henry married the eldest daughter of Edward IV and heiress, Elizabeth of York.
